Teterboro is the default, across the Hudson with four handling agents and customs by prior arrangement. Westchester is quieter for the Upper East Side and Connecticut; JFK and Newark take the largest cabins. New York's private airports run near capacity all year. On these dates a temporary flight restriction or a slot programme can change the airport you use, so we plan them early.
Passport details go to the handler before you land, the car is on the ramp, and the table, the suite or the driver are arranged in the same conversation as the flight.
International arrivals clear US Customs and Border Protection at the FBO at JFK, Newark or Westchester, or at Teterboro by prior arrangement. ESTA or a visa is required for most nationalities; we confirm when we book.
Pets travel in the cabin. Entering the US, a dog needs a microchip, a CDC import form and a rabies vaccination record from most countries; we arrange the paperwork with the handler.
A chauffeured car meets the aircraft on the ramp at Teterboro or whichever airport you land at, and the driver knows the private terminal, not the commercial one.

From the East Coast, usually yes: a light jet from Washington, Boston or Miami can often depart within a few hours. From London or the Gulf, twenty-four hours is the realistic minimum because of crew duty times and customs notice, though we have done it faster.
