New York to the Cape Fear coast in an hour and a half
Teterboro to Wilmington International is 501 miles, about an hour and a half in a light jet and a little less in anything larger. The airlines fly it with a connection or a long day on the road; by private jet it is a short afternoon flight with a car on the ramp at each end.
Wilmington International has two runways of about 8,000 ft, long enough for any business jet, and two private terminals: Modern Aviation, open around the clock, and Aero Center Wilmington. Downtown and the riverfront are ten minutes away, Wrightsville Beach about fifteen, Figure Eight Island a little further.
For Bald Head Island, Southport and Oak Island, Cape Fear Regional Jetport is the closer field, ten to fifteen minutes from the ferry. This page is for Wilmington, North Carolina; the FAQ covers Wilmington, Delaware.
