Hourly rates are what operators charge for the aircraft, crew and fuel, and they are the starting point of every quote. The one-way figure beside each cabin is the starting price on one of our route pages, a leg where that cabin is the smallest we would suggest, so you can see what an hour of flying turns into on a real trip.
Every figure is indicative and for the whole aircraft. A quote for your dates adds positioning, airport charges and anything the trip asks for, and we confirm it in writing before you commit.

Six cabin classes cover almost every charter. Each one has a mission it is built for, a party it carries in comfort and a reason its price behaves the way it does. Choose the smallest cabin that suits the flight time and the luggage; on a long leg, pay for the space.
City pairs of an hour or two: New York to Boston, Los Angeles to Las Vegas, London to Geneva. Six or seven seats, a lavatory, and room for a weekend bag each.
The lowest hourly rate, but a daily minimum of about two flying hours, so a forty-five-minute hop is priced as two. Luggage is the constraint on a longer trip.

Why VIP airliners price differentlyAirbus Corporate Jets and Boeing Business Jets are airliners completed as private aircraft, and they are quoted per trip rather than by the hour. Few exist, fewer are offered for charter, and the nearest one is often a long positioning flight away, so the empty legs to and from the client can be as large a part of the price as the trip itself.
The rest follows from the size of the aircraft: a larger crew with cabin attendants, airliner landing and handling fees, slots at busy airports, weight limits that rule out some business-jet airports (Teterboro's 100,000 lb cap among them), and more fuel per hour. Each family covers several models with very different range and cabin, so the model matters as much as the family.

Two quotes for the same city pair on the same day can be a third apart, and both can be right. These are the nine things that move the figure, roughly in the order they matter. They are also why a charter is quoted for the trip rather than read off a rate card.
A one-way charter is a flight priced on its own: the aircraft flies you, then goes wherever its operator sends it next. On the busiest routes, where fleets sit at both ends, a one-way price is close to the hourly rate multiplied by the flight time. Off the beaten track, it can carry the empty return as well.
An empty leg is the other side of that trade. When an aircraft has to fly somewhere empty, the operator sells the seat-less flight for a fraction of the charter price. It suits a client whose dates and route happen to match, who can accept the operator's timing, and who understands that the leg disappears if the original client's plans change. We watch for them and offer one when it fits, but we do not build a trip around one.

By the aircraft, not the seat. The operator charges an hourly rate for the cabin class multiplied by the flying time, with a daily minimum of about two hours, plus positioning if the aircraft is not already where you are, plus the landing, handling and parking at each airport. We quote the whole trip as one figure and confirm it in writing.

The rate covers the aircraft, crew and fuel. Positioning, airport charges and overnight costs are added for the trip.
Most operators charge at least two flying hours for each day the aircraft is used, whatever the flight time. That is why a forty-five-minute flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas is not a quarter of the price of a three-hour flight to Miami in the same cabin.
Yes. A quote from us is the whole trip: aircraft, crew, fuel, landing and handling, parking, positioning and any taxes that apply. The items that can change after the quote are the ones outside anyone's control on the day, such as de-icing or a slot change, and we tell you when one is possible.
Often, by a large margin, when one matches your dates, route and party. An empty leg is the aircraft flying home or to its next client anyway, and the operator would rather sell it than fly it empty. The trade is flexibility: the time and route are the operator's, and if their client cancels the leg disappears. We treat them as an option when one fits, never as the plan.
A short domestic flight can usually be arranged the same day and a transatlantic flight within twenty-four hours. A week or two of notice keeps the choice of aircraft open, and on peak dates such as Christmas, the Monaco Grand Prix or Art Basel it is worth booking as soon as the dates are fixed.
