Arriving or leaving, Al Maktoum's business terminal is open around the clock. Dubai International puts you twenty minutes from Downtown when a slot is available. Tell us the dates and we confirm the aircraft, the airport and the price the same day.

Al Maktoum is the default in both directions: a dedicated business aviation terminal south of the city, open around the clock, with four handling agents and immigration cleared in the lounge. Dubai International is closer to Downtown and DIFC at a higher fee and with tighter evening slots; Sharjah takes VIP airliners when both are full.
On the way out, the same handlers look after you: Jetex, ExecuJet, Falcon Aviation and DC Aviation at Al Maktoum, Jetex and ExecuJet at Dubai International's executive terminal, the shorter drive from Downtown. A light jet based at Al Maktoum can often leave for Riyadh, Doha or Muscat within a few hours. Further afield, Dubai to London takes about seven and a quarter hours, from £35,000 one way, Dubai to Paris about seven hours, from $44,000, and the Maldives about four and a quarter hours, from $36,000.
The hotel or a villa on the Palm is booked with the flight through our luxury hotel concierge, with the car waiting at the private terminal.

Super-midsize jets from London, Paris and Geneva refuel once, usually in the eastern Mediterranean, adding about an hour; a heavy jet flies each leg non-stop from about $72,000. Dubai has two airports of its own and a third next door in Sharjah. Al Maktoum carries most private traffic these days; Dubai International puts you closer to Downtown and DIFC at a higher fee and with tighter slots.

Dubai's season runs from November to April, and on these dates the aircraft based in the Gulf are spoken for early. A week or two of notice keeps the choice of cabin open.
Passport details go to the handler before you land, immigration is cleared in the lounge, and the car, the villa and the table are arranged in the same conversation as the flight.
Passport control and customs are cleared inside the private terminal in a few minutes. UK, EU and US passport holders receive a visa on arrival; for other nationalities we confirm the requirement when we book.
The UAE requires an import permit, microchip, vaccination record and health certificate in advance, and a rabies antibody test from higher-risk countries such as the US. We confirm with the handler whether the pet stays in the cabin or is declared as cargo on arrival. Allow a week or two for the permit.
Flying private with a petA chauffeured car meets the aircraft on the ramp at Al Maktoum International or whichever airport you land at, and the driver knows the private terminal, not the commercial one.

Al Maktoum for the Palm, the Marina and anything on a busy week, thirty-five to forty-five minutes from Downtown with no curfew. Dubai International for Downtown, DIFC and Jumeirah, fifteen to twenty-five minutes away, at a higher fee and with tighter slots. Sharjah for VIP airliners and the northern emirates. Within the Gulf, usually yes in either direction: a light jet based at Al Maktoum can often depart within a few hours, whether you are leaving Dubai for Riyadh or Doha or flying in from them. Between Dubai and London, Paris or New York, twenty-four hours is the realistic minimum because of crew duty times and the landing permit, though we have done it faster.

The fortnight of Christmas and New Year, the Dubai Airshow in November of odd years, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, Dubai World Cup week in March, and the two Eid holidays. On those dates parking at Al Maktoum runs short and Gulf-based aircraft are spoken for early, so we book the return with the outbound.
