The Global 7500 for charter

Bombardier's four-room flagship, chosen for the longest legs by groups who want to be able to close a door, and now continued as the Global 8000 with the same cabin.

Who it suits

Families and groups of eight to twelve on the longest legs. A typical layout runs from a forward club to a dining or conference room for six, an entertainment lounge with a divan and a principal suite with a full-size bed. The crew rest is separate from all four.

Against its rivals

The G700 has a slightly longer, wider cabin, a lower cabin altitude and 50 nm more range, but far fewer are offered for charter. The G650 is shorter and cheaper and covers most trips under twelve hours. Against the VIP airliners, the Global flies further with fewer people, from more airports, for less.

Where it falls short

The 5,760 ft take-off distance grows with heat and altitude, and some island and mountain airports are closed to it. On a two- or three-hour leg it is expensive for what the trip needs, and on busy dates the nearest free aircraft may be a long positioning flight away.

Range as published: 8 passengers and 4 crew at Mach 0.85 with NBAA IFR reserves in standard conditions; 8,000 nm for the Global 8000 on the same basis. On the day it depends on passengers and luggage, winds, the airports, temperature and the reserves the operator carries.

Inside the Global 7500 cabin

The cabin is 54 ft 5 in long excluding the baggage compartment, 8 ft wide and 6 ft 2 in tall. Four rooms of similar size is the idea: a meeting can go on at the dining table while others watch a film and the principal sleeps at the back. The windows are about 80% larger than on earlier Globals.

01

Seating

Up to 19; charter layouts usually carry 12 to 14 across the four living spaces.

02

Sleeping

Eight sleep flat in a typical layout, with a full-size bed in the principal suite on many aircraft.

03

Kitchen

A full-size kitchen rather than a galley, sized for proper meals on a fifteen-hour day.

04

Crew rest

A dedicated crew suite, so a relief pilot rests without using a passenger seat or bed.

05

Baggage

195 cu ft behind the cabin, reachable in flight at any altitude.

06

Connectivity

Ka-band Wi-Fi on many aircraft, good for video calls; the fit and plan vary by operator.

Global 7500 range in practice

Bombardier publishes 7,700 nm for the 7500 and 8,000 nm for the Global 8000, both at Mach 0.85 with eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. A 7500 can be upgraded to 8000 standard, so we confirm which the quote is for. Winter headwinds, a full cabin or a summer Gulf departure take range away.

Take-off needs 5,760 ft at maximum weight at sea level, and landing 2,237 ft. The wing's low-speed lift lets it use shorter runways than its size suggests, and on one demonstration flight a 7500 left London City non-stop for Van Nuys. A full-fuel departure on a hot day still needs a long runway.

  1. Non-stop London to New York, about 7 h A comfortable crossing with fuel to spare in any season.
  2. Non-stop London to Tokyo, about 12 h About 5,170 nm, with the principal suite made up overnight.
  3. Non-stop New York to Dubai, about 12 h 30 About 5,940 nm with a full cabin.
  4. Non-stop London to Singapore, about 13 h About 5,900 nm, a leg the four rooms were designed for.
  5. Non-stop New York to Tokyo, about 13 h 30 Without the Anchorage stop that older long-range jets make.
  6. Non-stop Miami to Dubai, about 14 h About 6,600 nm, inside the published range with a normal cabin.

Global 7500 charter cost

The 7500 prices near the top of the ultra-long-range band, close to a G700 and above a G650 or Global 6500; a Global 8000 usually costs more again. The four rooms earn their price on the longest legs, not on five or six hours. Most of the gap between two quotes for the same trip is positioning, and whether the aircraft flies out empty to collect you.

As a guide, ultra-long-range jets charter at about $12,000 to $16,000 an hour for the aircraft, crew and fuel. Positioning, airport charges, overnight costs and the season are added for the trip, and the quote is one figure in writing.

Frequently asked questions

How many passengers does the Global 7500 seat?

Up to 19, though most charter aircraft are set up for 12 to 14 across four living spaces. Eight can sleep flat in a typical layout, including a full-size bed in the principal suite on many aircraft.

What is the range of the Global 7500?

Bombardier publishes 7,700 nm at Mach 0.85 with eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. In practice that means New York to Tokyo or Miami to Dubai without a stop in most conditions; winds, payload and temperature decide the margin on the day.

What is the difference between the Global 7500 and the Global 8000?

The Global 8000, delivered from December 2025, is the same airframe and cabin with 8,000 nm of published range, a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a cabin altitude of 2,691 ft at 41,000 ft. Existing 7500s can be upgraded to 8000 standard, so some aircraft sold as 7500s now fly to the newer figures. For charter we treat them as one type and confirm the specification of the aircraft quoted.

What are the four living spaces on a Global 7500?

Usually a forward club area, a dining or conference room that seats six, an entertainment lounge with a divan, and a principal suite with a bed at the back. The crew rest is separate from all four. Layouts vary by owner, so we send the floor plan of the specific aircraft with the quote.

Global 7500 or Gulfstream G700: which should I charter?

For most trips the answer is whichever is available closer to your departure. The G700 has a slightly larger cabin cross-section, more windows and a lower cabin altitude; the Global 7500 divides its cabin into four rooms of similar size and has been in charter service since 2018. We quote both where we can.

Can the Global 7500 fly New York to Tokyo non-stop?

Yes, in most conditions. New York to Tokyo is about 5,860 nm and takes around thirteen and a half hours westbound, inside the published 7,700 nm with a normal cabin. On a winter day with strong headwinds and every seat taken, the operator confirms the plan before departure.

Does the Global 7500 have a shower?

Some do. A shower in the principal suite was an option on the type, specified by the original owner. If it matters, we confirm it on the aircraft before quoting.
