Ultra-long-range jet · Gulfstream
Gulfstream's newest aircraft and longest cabin, in service since 2024, chosen for long flights where part of the party needs to work in one room while the rest sleep in another.
A mixed party on a long flight: a family with children and staff, or a principal with advisers who need a separate room. Up to five living areas, a galley about ten feet long and, on some aircraft, a principal suite with a shower make the length count on a fourteen-hour leg.
The Global 7500 is the direct rival, with a similar length and four rooms. The G700 has 50 nm more published range and a lower cabin altitude; the Global has flown since 2018 and is easier to find. When nine or ten hours is the longest leg, a G650 is more common and usually cheaper.
Few G700s are offered for charter so far, and they price at the top of the band. On London to New York the extra length buys comfort rather than capability. It needs 5,995 ft to take off at sea level, so short runways that exclude other large jets exclude this one too.
Published figures for the type. Seating, beds and connectivity vary with each aircraft's layout and operator, and we confirm them for the actual aircraft before you book.

Range as published: 8 passengers and 4 crew at Mach 0.85 with NBAA IFR reserves; 6,650 nm at Mach 0.90. On the day it depends on passengers and luggage, winds, the airports, temperature and the reserves the operator carries.

The cabin is 56 ft 11 in long before the baggage compartment, on the G650's cross-section of 8 ft 2 in by 6 ft 3 in. Layouts run from a forward club through dining and lounge areas to a stateroom aft; the five-zone version seats 19, the four-zone 13. A large crew rest at the front lets a relief pilot sleep without taking a passenger seat.
Up to 19 seats; most charter layouts carry 12 to 14 across four or five zones, which leaves room to spread out.
Eight flat in the four-zone layout, nine in the five-zone. Gulfstream quotes up to 13 in the densest sleeping layout.
A principal suite with a shower is offered, but not every owner specified one. If it matters, we confirm it on the aircraft before quoting.
An ultragalley about ten feet long, with room for a full meal service on a long night flight.
100% fresh air, renewed every two to three minutes, and a cabin altitude of 2,840 ft at 41,000 ft.
Jet ConneX Ka-band Wi-Fi is the published fit, fast enough for video calls. Service plans vary by operator.
Gulfstream publishes 7,750 nm at Mach 0.85 and 6,650 nm at Mach 0.90, both with eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. That covers New York to Tokyo and Miami to Dubai on an ordinary day. Winter headwinds westbound, a full cabin with luggage or a hot Gulf departure reduce it, and on the longest legs the operator may plan a slower cruise.
Take-off needs 5,995 ft at maximum weight at sea level, and landing 3,150 ft. That suits Teterboro, Farnborough and Le Bourget, but heat and altitude lengthen the run, and a full-fuel departure from a short runway is often not possible.
Trips this aircraft flies well, each with its own page: the airports at both ends, flight times and indicative prices by cabin.
The G700 prices at the top of the ultra-long-range band. It is the newest aircraft in the class, and fewer are offered than G650s or Global 7500s. On a seven- or eight-hour leg a G650 usually costs noticeably less for a similar trip. Positioning often decides the figure, and a G700 already in Europe costs far less than one flown in empty from the United States.
As a guide, ultra-long-range jets charter at about $12,000 to $16,000 an hour for the aircraft, crew and fuel. Positioning, airport charges, overnight costs and the season are added for the trip, and the quote is one figure in writing.
When the G700 is not available on your dates, or the trip asks for something slightly different, these are the aircraft we would put beside it.

Up to 19 in a five-zone layout. Most charter G700s are set up for 12 to 14, which leaves room for a dining area, a lounge and a private stateroom. Overnight, the four-zone layout sleeps eight flat and the five-zone layout nine.
Gulfstream publishes 7,750 nm at Mach 0.85 and 6,650 nm at Mach 0.90, with eight passengers, four crew and NBAA IFR reserves. That covers New York to Tokyo and Miami to Dubai without a stop in normal conditions. The range on the day depends on winds, payload, temperature and the reserves the operator carries.
Some do. Gulfstream offers a principal suite with a shower, but whether an aircraft has one depends on how its owner specified it. If you need one, we confirm it on the specific aircraft before quoting.
Both carry a dozen people in comfort on a fourteen-hour leg. The G700 has the lower cabin altitude, twenty large windows and slightly more published range; the Global 7500 has four rooms of similar size and is more widely available for charter. We usually quote both and let the timing and the price decide.
Its maximum operating speed is Mach 0.935, the fastest in the Gulfstream range. Long legs are usually flown between Mach 0.85 and 0.90, trading a little time for range; at Mach 0.90 the published range is 6,650 nm.
Longer rather than wider. The cross-section is the same, 8 ft 2 in wide and 6 ft 3 in high, but the cabin is 56 ft 11 in against 46 ft 10 in, with twenty windows against sixteen. The extra ten feet usually becomes a fifth zone or a larger stateroom.
More than a G650 and usually more than a Global 7500 for the same trip, because it is newer and scarcer. The quote depends on where the aircraft starts, the season, the days on the ground and airport charges. Send us the route and dates and we reply with a firm price in writing.
