New York to the Gulf in one leg

New York to Dubai is 6,840 miles, which only the longest-range cabins fly non-stop: the Gulfstream G650ER, the Global 7500 and the Falcon 8X make it in about twelve and a half hours. A Global 6000 or a heavy jet such as the Legacy 650 stops in Europe, usually at Shannon or Luton, and lands about two hours later.

Dubai is nine hours ahead of New York in winter, so an evening departure from Teterboro lands late the following afternoon. Al Maktoum's business-aviation terminal clears immigration in the lounge and is forty minutes from Downtown; Dubai International is closer but slot-constrained.

Teterboro caps aircraft at 100,000 lb, so VIP airliners leave from JFK or Newark. Passport and crew details go to the handler in advance, and we arrange the Gulf overflight permits with the operator.

What the flight costs

Prices below are indicative one-way figures for the whole aircraft, not per seat. They cover the flight, crew, fuel, permits and any fuel stop; parking in Dubai, repositioning and handling are quoted separately.

A return with the aircraft waiting in Dubai is usually priced well below two one-way flights. Tell us your dates and we confirm the figure in writing.

Departure airports in New York

Teterboro handles most of New York's private departures, but it caps aircraft weight and closes to noisy movements overnight, so the largest cabins and some late flights go from Westchester, Newark or JFK.

TEB

Teterboro

Best for
Manhattan, Midtown, the West Side
Drive
25 to 40 min to Midtown
FBO
Signature, Jet Aviation, Meridian, Atlantic

The busiest private airport on the East Coast. Aircraft above 100,000 lb are not permitted, so VIP airliners go to JFK or Newark. Voluntary curfew 11 pm to 6 am; customs by prior arrangement.

HPN

Westchester County

Best for
Upper East Side, Westchester, Greenwich
Drive
45 to 60 min to Midtown
FBO

Quieter ramp and easier parking than Teterboro, with customs on site. Curfew on movements between midnight and 6.30 am.

JFK

John F. Kennedy International

Best for
VIP airliners, international arrivals, Brooklyn and Long Island
Drive
45 to 60 min to Midtown

Full customs, no weight limit and often easier slots than JFK. Useful when Teterboro is closed by weather or a security restriction.

Arrival airports in Dubai

Dubai has two airports of its own and a third next door in Sharjah. Al Maktoum carries most private traffic these days; Dubai International puts you closer to Downtown and DIFC at a higher fee and with tighter slots.

Aircraft that fly it non-stop

Non-stop New York to Dubai is the preserve of the longest-range cabins: the Gulfstream G650 in our fleet in its ER form, the Global 7500 and the Falcon 8X. The Global 6000 and the heavy jets fly the route with a single stop in Europe for a lower price. For large parties, a widebody BBJ 787 or ACJ350 does it non-stop from JFK; a 737-based BBJ or an ACJ319neo manages it only with a light load.

When Dubai fills up

Dubai's season runs from November to April, and on these dates the aircraft based in the Gulf are spoken for early. A week or two of notice keeps the choice of cabin open.

  1. December to January Christmas, New Year and the winter season The heaviest fortnight of the year for flights into Dubai. Book the return with the outbound; parking at Al Maktoum runs short.
  2. November Dubai Airshow and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix The Airshow in odd years fills Al Maktoum's ramp; the Grand Prix weekend pulls aircraft to Abu Dhabi and Dubai together.
  3. March Dubai World Cup Race week at Meydan brings the racing world in on private aircraft. Slots at Dubai International tighten first.
  4. April Art Dubai and the end of season Collectors and galleries arrive in the same week; a quieter time for the airports than the winter peak.
  5. Eid holidays Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha Dates move each year. Regional traffic surges in both directions and Gulf-based aircraft are hard to source.
  6. October GITEX and the start of the season The first busy week after summer. Corporate demand peaks mid-week.

Dubai to New York

The return leaves from Al Maktoum, Dubai International or Sharjah and lands at Teterboro, Westchester, JFK or Newark. Westbound into the headwind allow about thirteen and a half hours non-stop; a mid-morning departure from Dubai lands in New York mid-afternoon the same day.

During the winter season and the Airshow, Dubai's departure slots and parking are the scarce resources, and Teterboro's arrival slots tighten in UN week and over Thanksgiving, so we secure both ends when we book the outbound.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet from New York to Dubai cost?

Indicative one-way prices for the whole aircraft start at about $160,000 in an ultra-long-range jet, with a stop; about $185,000 in an ultra-long-range jet, non-stop; about $290,000 in a VIP airliner. Repositioning, overnight parking and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates, and a return with the aircraft waiting is usually priced well below two one-way flights.

How long is the flight?

About 12 and a half hours flight time for the cabins shown on this page, depending on the aircraft, the winds and the airports at each end. Every cabin class listed flies it without a stop.

Which airports can I use?

From New York: Teterboro, Westchester County, John F. Kennedy International and Newark Liberty. Into Dubai: Al Maktoum International, Dubai International and Sharjah International. Each is described above with its drive time and the operators that handle private flights there.

How do immigration and customs work on arrival?

Passport control and customs are cleared inside the private terminal in a few minutes. UK, EU and US passport holders receive a visa on arrival; for other nationalities we confirm the requirement when we book.

Can my dog travel with me?

Pets travel in the cabin. The UAE requires an import permit, microchip, vaccination record and health certificate in advance; we arrange the paperwork with the handler. Allow a week or two for the permit.

Can I pay for the charter with crypto?

Yes. Bank transfer in any major currency; crypto also accepted. Tell us your preferred coin and we confirm the network and payment instructions with the contract.

Do you arrange the car at each end?

Yes. We coordinate chauffeured cars on both ends, so a car meets you at the aircraft in Dubai and the driver knows the airport's private terminal.

Where would you like to fly?

Tell us what you have in mind. Our team will take care of the charter arrangements and discuss crypto payment if you prefer.
