Dinner in Manhattan, breakfast in London

New York to London is the most flown private route across the Atlantic. Eastbound is the shorter direction, with the jet stream behind you: a heavy jet crosses in about six hours forty-five. Ultra-long-range cabins are faster and quieter. A super-midsize jet refuels at Gander or Shannon and arrives about an hour later at a lower price.

The five-hour time difference makes the overnight the natural pattern. Leave Teterboro at 8 pm, sleep, and land at Farnborough at 8 am with the day ahead. Farnborough opens at 7 am and Biggin Hill at 6.30 am, so we time the departure to the airport; Luton and Stansted are open around the clock.

Teterboro caps aircraft at 100,000 lb, so VIP airliners leave from JFK or Newark; Westchester is the quieter departure for the Upper East Side and Connecticut.

What the flight costs

Prices below are indicative one-way figures for the whole aircraft, not per seat. They cover the flight, crew and fuel; parking in London, repositioning and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates.

Aircraft are based at both ends, so one-way pricing on this route is competitive. Tell us your dates and we confirm the figure in writing, in sterling or the currency you prefer.

Aircraft that cross non-stop

Anything from a heavy jet upwards flies New York to London without a stop. The Legacy 650 in our fleet is our standard proposal. The Gulfstream G650 is quieter and faster, with a lower cabin altitude that makes an overnight flight feel shorter. Super-midsize jets cross with one fuel stop for a lower price. For large groups, VIP airliners depart from JFK into Stansted or Luton.

When London fills up

London is busy all year, but on these dates the airports' slots and parking go first and the aircraft based here are spoken for.

  1. June Royal Ascot and the summer season Five days of racing and a full social calendar. Farnborough is at capacity for arrivals from the Gulf and the US.
  2. Late June to July Wimbledon Two weeks of steady inbound traffic, with the finals weekend the tightest.
  3. July, even years Farnborough International Airshow Farnborough closes to most business traffic for the show week; flights move to Luton, Biggin Hill and Stansted.
  4. October Frieze London Collectors and galleries arrive in the same week. Biggin Hill and Farnborough parking fills early.
  5. December to January Christmas and New Year Outbound to the Gulf, the Caribbean and the Alps peaks in the fortnight before Christmas; the return wave is the first week of January.

London to New York

The return leaves from Farnborough, Luton, Biggin Hill or Stansted and lands at Teterboro, Westchester, JFK or Newark. Westbound into the headwind allow about seven and a half hours non-stop; the morning departure from London lands in New York before lunch.

In UN week and over Thanksgiving, Teterboro's arrival slots are the scarce resource, and Westchester or Newark carry the overflow. We secure the return slot when we book the outbound.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet from New York to London cost?

Indicative one-way prices for the whole aircraft start at about £37,000 in a super-midsize jet; about £50,000 in a heavy jet; about £63,000 in an ultra-long-range jet; about £110,000 in a VIP airliner. Repositioning, overnight parking and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates, and a return with the aircraft waiting is usually priced well below two one-way flights.

How long is the flight?

About 6 hours 45 flight time for the cabins shown on this page, depending on the aircraft, the winds and the airports at each end. Every cabin class listed flies it without a stop.

Which airports can I use?

From New York: Teterboro, Westchester County, John F. Kennedy International and Newark Liberty. Into London: Farnborough, London Luton, Biggin Hill and London Stansted. Each is described above with its drive time and the operators that handle private flights there.

How do immigration and customs work on arrival?

UK Border Force clears private arrivals inside the FBO, usually in minutes. Passport details go to the handler in advance; most nationalities need an ETA or visa, which we confirm when we book.

Can my dog travel with me?

Dogs and cats fly in the cabin. Entering the UK, a pet needs a microchip, rabies vaccination and a health certificate, and must arrive at an approved airport; we arrange the paperwork with the handler.

Can I pay for the charter with crypto?

Yes. Bank transfer in any major currency; crypto also accepted. Tell us your preferred coin and we confirm the network and payment instructions with the contract.

Do you arrange the car at each end?

Yes. We coordinate chauffeured cars on both ends, so a car meets you at the aircraft in London and the driver knows the airport's private terminal.

Where would you like to fly?

Tell us what you have in mind. Our team will take care of the charter arrangements and discuss crypto payment if you prefer.
