Manhattan to the water in three hours
New York to Nassau is 1,100 miles, which a light jet flies non-stop in about three hours and a midsize cabin faster still. Leave Teterboro after breakfast and you are at Lyford Cay or Albany for lunch.
Nassau's two private terminals clear customs on arrival in minutes, and the drive to Paradise Island is fifteen. For the out islands, Exuma and North Eleuthera have customs and runways long enough for midsize jets, which puts Harbour Island and the Exuma Cays within a short boat ride of the aircraft.
The return is easier still: Nassau has US preclearance, so you land in New York as a domestic flight and walk straight to the car.
