How to buy a Richard Mille today

Richard Mille makes a few thousand watches a year, sells them through its own boutiques, and places many references with existing clients before they are ever shown. A good number are limited series, some of only a few dozen pieces.

We work outside that allocation. Tell us the reference, the case material and the colourway, and we go to our network and come back with what is realistic before you commit. The individual watch is then described in writing, including the case material on the papers and, for a limited series, its number.

Most of the requests we see are for the automatic references, the RM 72-01 among them, and for the tourbillons made with athletes and artists.

Richard Mille collections and references

A collection name is a starting point. Reference, generation, material and configuration identify the watch more precisely.

Automatic references

The watches most clients wear every day, in cases from titanium to Carbon TPT and ceramic. The RM 72-01 carries the brand's first in-house chronograph movement.

  • RM 72-01In-house flyback chronograph
  • RM 67-01Extra flat, automatic
  • RM 35-02Rafael Nadal, automatic
  • RM 11-03Flyback chronograph, annual calendar

Tourbillons

The brand began with one: the RM 001 of 2001. Today the tourbillons include the sculpted and artistic pieces, each made in small numbers.

  • RM 52-01Skull, manual tourbillon
  • RM 47Samurai armour, manual tourbillon
  • RM 57-01Phoenix and dragon, with Jackie Chan
  • RM 68-01Hand-painted by Cyril Kongo

Sports collaborations

Watches made with and for athletes, built light enough to wear while competing. The reference and the athlete edition both matter, as does the case material.

  • RM 27Rafael Nadal tourbillons
  • RM 055Bubba Watson
  • RM 67-02Extra flat automatic, athlete editions

Limited configurations

Colourways, materials and regional editions, often in very small runs, and one-off pieces such as the sapphire-cased tourbillons. Documentation for the individual watch matters more here than anywhere else.

What to check before you buy

  1. State the full RM reference, case material, colourway and strap. The same reference can exist in several materials, and the material decides weight, look and price.
  2. Ask for current images covering the case, crystal, movement where visible, and strap condition.
  3. Confirm the papers, box, accessories, spare straps and service documents included.
  4. For a limited series, ask how the individual number and edition are documented.
  5. Review the individual watch and the purchase terms. Broad market demand does not establish value or future performance.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy a Richard Mille without going through a boutique?

Yes. We source the reference through our network rather than the boutique allocation, confirm what is realistic on availability and timing for your request, and set out the individual watch in writing before you commit.

What is Carbon TPT?

A case material made from many thin layers of carbon fibre, pressed and heated. It gives the case its striped grain, and no two cases show the same pattern. It is one of several materials a reference may come in, so say which one you want.

Do you source limited editions?

Yes. For a limited series we confirm the individual number and how the edition is documented before you decide. Some runs are a few dozen pieces, so tell us early whether a particular colourway or material is essential.

Will the watch come with box and papers?

Tell us if a full set matters and we search on that basis. What accompanies the watch is confirmed for the individual piece and listed in writing before you decide.

Can I pay for a Richard Mille in crypto?

Yes. Bank transfer in any major currency, or Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and other major coins and stablecoins. The asset, network and amount are confirmed with you before any transfer, and only once the individual watch is agreed.

Tell us the watch you have in mind

An exact reference or an idea is enough to start the conversation. We will take care of the search and discuss the options with you.
