The first chronograph Richard Mille made itself, and where we go to find one.
The RM 72-01 arrived in 2020 carrying calibre CRMC1, the first chronograph movement Richard Mille developed in house rather than building on a supplied base. It is a flyback, driven through an oscillating pinion, with the counters laid out around a skeletonised dial and an oversize date. The case is the familiar tonneau at about 38.4 × 47.3 mm, though at roughly 11.7 mm it is a thicker watch than the extra-flat RM 67 it sits beside.
The version pictured is the white ceramic, with red on the flange and counters against the white case. Ceramic is polished rather than machined to shape, which is part of why these are made in small numbers and why they rarely sit in a boutique waiting for a buyer.

Is the white ceramic RM 72-01 still available new?

What is the difference between the RM 72-01 and the RM 11-03?
Both are flyback chronographs. The RM 72-01 carries calibre CRMC1, the first chronograph movement Richard Mille made in house, and is the slimmer watch at about 11.7 mm. The RM 11-03 is built on a supplied base calibre, adds an annual calendar and is appreciably thicker.
What should I ask about a ceramic case?
Ceramic resists scratching but chips rather than marks if it is knocked. We set out the condition of the case, bezel and crystal for the individual watch, and tell you where any damage sits.
How long does it take?
