Ultra-long-range jet · Dassault
The longest-range Falcon, a three-engine 7X stretched for more fuel and more cabin, and still able to use London City, which few jets with this range can.
A party of eight to twelve on flights of ten to thirteen hours: London to Los Angeles, the Maldives or Tokyo, and New York to Dubai on most days. Owners chose between a shower, a crew rest and a large galley, and the optional Privacy Suite makes a small private room for sleep.
A G650ER or Global 7500 has a wider cabin and more range, so New York to Tokyo goes direct where the 8X stops in Anchorage. The Global 6500 has similar range on two engines and is easier to find. The 8X's edge is short runways, and Dassault has it reaching Chicago non-stop from London City's short runway.
Fewer 8Xs were built than G650s, so on a given date there may be only a handful within reach, and we say early if the choice is thin. New York to Tokyo and Miami to Dubai take a stop, and layouts vary enough that a shower is never a given.
Published figures for the type. Seating, beds and connectivity vary with each aircraft's layout and operator, and we confirm them for the actual aircraft before you book.

Range as published: Eight passengers, NBAA IFR reserves (Dassault). On the day it depends on passengers and luggage, winds, the airports, temperature and the reserves the operator carries.

The cabin is 42 ft 8 in long, 7 ft 8 in wide and 6 ft 2 in high, the 7X's cross-section over a longer floor. Most charter aircraft have three lounges, with the galley forward and the lavatory aft, and on some aircraft a shower. Layouts vary more than on most types, so if a shower or a sleeping room matters, say so at the start.
Twelve to sixteen seats in three lounges; twelve to fourteen is typical on charter aircraft.
Available in the aft lavatory on the three-lounge layout. Not every aircraft has one, so ask early.
The optional Privacy Suite has berthable seats and a divider; with the aft divan, several passengers sleep flat. We confirm the count per aircraft.
Up to 32 large windows along the cabin, by Dassault's count.
140 cu ft, pressurised and reachable in flight from the aft cabin.
Ka-band satellite Wi-Fi through FalconConnect on most aircraft, usable over the oceans; speed and fit vary by operator.
Dassault publishes 6,450 nm with eight passengers and NBAA IFR reserves; with a full cabin and winter winds, plan on several hundred miles less. London to Tokyo, about 5,170 nm, is normally non-stop. New York to Dubai, about 5,940 nm, is non-stop on many days but tight with every seat filled in winter.
Take-off needs 5,880 ft at maximum weight at sea level, landing 2,220 ft at typical weight, and the approach speed is 107 knots. From short or high airfields the 8X leaves with less fuel, yet Dassault's figures still reach Chicago from London City and Geneva from Eagle, Colorado.
Trips this aircraft flies well, each with its own page: the airports at both ends, flight times and indicative prices by cabin.
The 8X prices with the ultra-long-range jets, usually a little below a Global 7500 or G650ER and above a Falcon 7X. With fewer aircraft about, positioning weighs more than usual. An 8X based near your departure is often the best value in its class, and one that has to cross an ocean to reach you is not.
As a guide, ultra-long-range jets charter at about $12,000 to $16,000 an hour for the aircraft, crew and fuel. Positioning, airport charges, overnight costs and the season are added for the trip, and the quote is one figure in writing.
When the Falcon 8X is not available on your dates, or the trip asks for something slightly different, these are the aircraft we would put beside it.

Dassault publishes 6,450 nm with eight passengers and NBAA IFR reserves. In practice that covers London to Tokyo, Los Angeles or the Maldives non-stop, and New York to Dubai on most days; New York to Tokyo usually takes a stop.
Twelve to sixteen, depending on the layout, with twelve to fourteen typical on charter aircraft. For a night flight, eight to ten gives everyone space to sleep.
Some do. Dassault offers a shower in the aft lavatory with the three-lounge layout, but owners chose between the shower, a crew rest and a larger galley, so we confirm it on the specific aircraft.
Normally, yes, in about twelve hours with a typical load. With every seat filled and strong headwinds the crew may plan a stop, and we check the forecast before confirming.
The 8X is about 3 ft 6 in longer, with uprated engines and 6,450 nm of published range against 5,950 nm. The extra length makes room for a shower or crew rest, and it usually costs more to charter.
Yes. Dassault says it can fly non-stop from London City's short runway to Chicago or Mumbai, which very few aircraft of this range can do. Departures from there are weight-limited, so the longest flights still go from Farnborough or Luton.
Most do. Dassault fits Ka-band satellite connectivity through FalconConnect, which works over the oceans, but speed and fit vary by operator.
