Al Bateen is the default, a business airport on the island itself with immigration in the lounge and the Emirates Palace ten minutes away. Zayed International takes VIP airliners and is the closer airport for Yas Island, the circuit and Saadiyat. On Grand Prix weekend Al Bateen runs a slot programme and parking at both airports is allocated, so we book the slot and the Sunday-night return with the flight, weeks ahead.

Super-midsize jets from London, Paris and Geneva refuel once, adding about an hour; a heavy jet flies each leg non-stop from about $72,000. On Grand Prix weekend expect a premium of a quarter to a third on these prices and a return slot fixed at booking; the non-stop Global 7500 or G650ER from New York is quoted on request.

Private jet to Abu Dhabi
Send the dates, the party size and where you are staying. We come back with aircraft options, the slot at Al Bateen or Zayed International and a written price, usually within the hour.
Abu Dhabi's season runs from November to April and peaks in one weekend. Aircraft based in the Gulf are spoken for a month before the Grand Prix, so that weekend is planned early.
Passport details go to the handler before you land, immigration is cleared in the lounge, and the car, the villa on Saadiyat and the paddock passes are arranged in the same conversation as the flight.
Passport control and customs are cleared inside the private terminal at Al Bateen or the VIP terminal at Zayed International in a few minutes. UK, EU and US passport holders receive a visa on arrival; for other nationalities we confirm the requirement when we book.
Pets travel in the cabin. The UAE requires an import permit, microchip, vaccination record and health certificate in advance; we arrange the paperwork with the handler. Allow a week or two for the permit.
A chauffeured car meets the aircraft on the ramp at Al Bateen Executive or whichever airport you land at, and the driver knows the private terminal, not the commercial one.
It depends where you leave from. Indicative one-way prices for the whole aircraft start at about $11,000 from Riyadh in a light jet, about $22,000 from Mumbai in a midsize jet, about $47,000 from London and about $46,000 from Paris in a super-midsize jet with one stop, and about $160,000 from New York in an ultra-long-range jet. Grand Prix weekend carries a premium. Repositioning, overnight parking and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates.

From Riyadh, Doha or anywhere in the Gulf, usually yes: a light jet based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi can often depart within a few hours. From Europe or New York, twenty-four hours is the realistic minimum because of crew duty times and the landing permit. Grand Prix weekend is the exception: the slots go weeks ahead.

For the race we book the slot, the hotel and the return together, weeks ahead.
