Dallas to Vegas: Love Field to the Strip in an afternoon

Dallas to Las Vegas is 1,065 miles, two and a half hours westbound in a light or midsize jet. Most of our Dallas clients leave from Love Field, ten minutes from Uptown and Highland Park; Addison suits Plano and Frisco. Las Vegas is two hours behind Dallas, so a 3 pm departure lands at Harry Reid at about 3.30 pm local time.

The traffic on this route follows the Vegas calendar more than the Dallas one. Fight nights, the Grand Prix in November, the National Finals Rodeo in December and the big conventions fill Harry Reid's private ramp days ahead. On those dates we look at Henderson Executive first: twenty minutes from the south end of the Strip, with a quieter ramp and easier slots.

Aircraft are based in numbers at both ends, so a same-day booking is usually possible and empty legs back to Texas come up often on a Sunday.

What the flight costs

Prices below are indicative one-way figures for the whole aircraft, not per seat. They include the flight, crew and fuel; parking at Harry Reid, repositioning and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates.

A weekend with the aircraft waiting in Las Vegas for two nights usually costs less than two one-way flights with the jet flying home empty in between. On event weekends, parking at Harry Reid can be scarce and the aircraft may wait at Henderson instead.

Every cabin from a light jet up flies Dallas to Las Vegas non-stop. The choice comes down to the size of the party and the luggage: a light jet for four with weekend bags, a midsize or super-midsize for six to nine with golf clubs, and a heavy jet when the group is twelve or more and wants to stand up and move around.

When Las Vegas fills up

On these dates aircraft, slots and hotel suites all go early. Booking a week or two ahead is the difference between a choice of aircraft and whatever is left.

  1. January CES The largest convention of the year. Harry Reid slots and FBO parking go first; Henderson is the pressure valve.
  2. May EDC Las Vegas Late-night traffic around the Speedway. Plan a Henderson or North Las Vegas arrival.
  3. November Las Vegas Grand Prix Strip road closures make airport choice and ground transport the whole game. We arrange both together.
  4. December National Finals Rodeo Ten days of near-capacity hotels and steady private traffic.
  5. Fight weekends Championship boxing and UFC Announced a few weeks out and instantly busy. Light jets are the quickest to secure.
  6. New Year's Eve The Strip fireworks Book the return before the outbound; the morning of 1 January is the tightest departure window of the year.

Las Vegas to Dallas

Eastbound the flight is about twenty minutes shorter with the prevailing westerlies, but you lose the two hours back. A noon departure from Harry Reid lands at Love Field at about 4.15 pm.

Sunday afternoon is the busiest time to leave Las Vegas, and after a fight or the Grand Prix the departure queue at Harry Reid can run long. We book the return slot when we book the outbound, and move the departure to Henderson when Harry Reid is full.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet from Dallas to Las Vegas cost?

Indicative one-way prices for the whole aircraft start at about $14,000 in a light jet, $17,000 in a midsize jet, $21,000 in a super-midsize jet and $29,000 in a heavy jet. A weekend with the aircraft waiting in Las Vegas usually comes in below two one-way flights. Parking, repositioning and handling are quoted once we know your dates.

How long is the flight from Dallas to Vegas?

About two and a half hours westbound and two hours fifteen back to Dallas, depending on the aircraft and the winds. Las Vegas is two hours behind Dallas, so you land at roughly the local time you left.

Which Dallas airport should I leave from?

Love Field for Uptown, Highland Park and downtown; Addison for Plano, Frisco and the northern suburbs. DFW is for the largest aircraft. All three have private terminals with no airline check-in.

Harry Reid or Henderson?

Harry Reid is ten to fifteen minutes from the Strip and is the default. Henderson Executive is about twenty minutes from the south Strip and is often the better choice on a fight weekend, during the Grand Prix or at CES, when Harry Reid's slots and parking are full.

Can a group of friends share the cost?

The price is for the whole aircraft, so a party of eight in a midsize jet pays the same as a party of four. How you split it is up to you; we invoice one person or company and can issue the contract in a company name.

Can I pay for the charter with crypto?

Yes. Bank transfer in any major currency; crypto also accepted. Tell us your preferred coin and we confirm the network and payment instructions with the contract.

Can my dog come to Las Vegas?

Yes, pets travel in the cabin, and on a domestic flight no paperwork beyond standard identification is needed. Tell us when you book so we choose an operator that welcomes animals and a hotel that does too.

Where would you like to fly?

Tell us what you have in mind. Our team will take care of the charter arrangements and discuss crypto payment if you prefer.
