The shortest way from the Westside to the Strip

At 236 miles this is one of the busiest short-haul private routes in America, used for weekend trips, conventions and residencies. The flight itself is about 40 minutes; allow 45 minutes to an hour from boarding to stepping off.

Flying private removes the two parts of the journey that cost the most time: the I-15 on a Friday afternoon, and the security queue at LAX. You arrive at the FBO minutes before departure, board from the car, and land at a private terminal a short drive from the Strip.

Because so many aircraft are based around both cities, positioning is rarely a problem. A departure arranged the same morning is routine on this route, and a round trip within a single day is common.

What the flight costs

Prices below are indicative one-way figures for the whole aircraft, not per seat. They cover the flight itself; repositioning, overnight parking and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates.

A same-day return is usually priced well below two one-way flights, because the aircraft avoids an overnight. Ask for the figure on your dates and we will confirm it in writing.

Aircraft that suit a 45-minute flight

This is a short hop, so a light or midsize cabin does the job for most parties and costs the least. Larger cabins make sense for bigger groups, or when the Las Vegas leg is one part of a longer itinerary.

Aircraft are drawn from operators at both ends of the route, so positioning is rarely the constraint.

Light jets

Six or seven seats and about fifty minutes from boarding to landing. The Learjet 55 in our fleet, or a Citation CJ3 or Phenom 300 from a local operator.

Super-midsize and larger

Nine to thirteen seats with a stand-up cabin. The Legacy 650 works best when the party is larger or Las Vegas is one stop on a longer trip.

For eighteen seats and above we quote the Embraer Lineage 1000, Airbus Corporate Jet or Boeing Business Jet, subject to slot availability at Harry Reid.

When Las Vegas fills up

On these dates aircraft, slots and hotel suites all go early. Booking a week or two ahead is the difference between a choice of aircraft and whatever is left.

  1. January CES The largest convention of the year. Harry Reid slots and FBO parking go first; Henderson is the pressure valve.
  2. May EDC Las Vegas Late-night traffic around the Speedway. Plan a Henderson or North Las Vegas arrival.
  3. November Las Vegas Grand Prix Strip road closures make airport choice and ground transport the whole game. We arrange both together.
  4. December National Finals Rodeo Ten days of near-capacity hotels and steady private traffic.
  5. Fight weekends Championship boxing and UFC Announced a few weeks out and instantly busy. Light jets are the quickest to secure.
  6. New Year's Eve The Strip fireworks Book the return before the outbound; the morning of 1 January is the tightest departure window of the year.

Las Vegas to Los Angeles

The return works the same way in reverse: departure from Harry Reid, Henderson or North Las Vegas, arrival at whichever Los Angeles airport is closest to where you are heading. Flight time is the same 45 to 60 minutes.

Two things to plan for on a late return. Van Nuys and John Wayne restrict arrivals after 10 pm for louder aircraft, so a midnight departure from the Strip may mean Burbank instead. And on event weekends, Las Vegas departure slots are the scarce resource, so we secure the return at the moment we book the outbound.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet from Los Angeles to Las Vegas cost?

A one-way charter starts at around $6,500 in a light jet and rises to about $20,500 for a heavy jet, for the whole aircraft. Repositioning, overnight parking and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates. A same-day return usually costs well below two one-way flights.

How long is the flight?

About 40 minutes in the air, and 45 minutes to an hour from boarding to stepping off, depending on the aircraft and the airports at each end. Add ten to fifteen minutes from Harry Reid to the Strip by car.

Can I book a same-day flight to Las Vegas?

Usually, yes. This is one of the easiest routes to arrange on short notice because so many aircraft are based in and around both cities. A round trip within a single day is common.

Which airports can I use?

From Los Angeles: Van Nuys, Hollywood Burbank, Long Beach and John Wayne. Into Las Vegas: Harry Reid International, which has private terminals ten minutes from the Strip, with Henderson Executive and North Las Vegas as quieter alternatives.

Can my dog travel with me?

Yes. Pets travel in the cabin with you, and on a domestic flight no paperwork beyond standard identification is needed. Tell us when you book so we match an operator that welcomes animals.

Can I pay for the charter with crypto?

Yes. Bank transfer in any major currency; crypto also accepted. Tell us your preferred coin and we confirm the network and payment instructions with the contract.

Do you arrange the car at each end?

Yes. We coordinate chauffeured cars on both ends, so a car is waiting when you step off the aircraft, whether you are heading to the Strip, a residence or straight into a convention.

Where would you like to fly?

Tell us what you have in mind. Our team will take care of the charter arrangements and discuss crypto payment if you prefer.
