Private jets with a bedroom
Tell us the journey. We show the jets you can sleep on, from a flat bed to a bedroom with its own shower.
Why some aircraft are not listed
Indicative, not a flight plan. A bedroom or shower marked "on some" depends on how each aircraft is fitted out; we confirm the layout of the actual aircraft before you book. Flight times use the range calculator's allowances for airways, winds and closed airspace.
Which private jets have a bedroom?
A bedroom needs a cabin long enough for a separate room at the back, so it starts with the ultra-long-range jets, the Falcon 8X the most compact of them. On those, it depends on the aircraft: owners choose between a bedroom and another lounge. On the Lineage 1000, the BBJ MAX 7, the BBJ 787-8 and the ACJ350 a bedroom is part of the usual layout.
Private jets with flat beds but no bedroom
For a night flight you may not need a separate room. These jets have seats and divans that make up as flat beds, at a lower hourly rate than the bedroom aircraft. The figure is how many can sleep flat in a typical layout.
- Super-midsize jets
- Challenger 350 sleeps 3, Praetor 600 sleeps 3
- Heavy jets
- Legacy 650 sleeps 4, Challenger 605 sleeps 3, Falcon 2000LXS sleeps 3, Falcon 900 sleeps 3, Falcon 7X sleeps 5
Bed, bedroom or suite: what you get
Operators use the words loosely. Ask which of these the aircraft has, and for a floor plan.
- Flat seats
- Two facing club seats recline and meet to make a bed. Found from the super-midsize class up.
- A divan bed
- A three-seat sofa along the cabin wall, made up with a mattress topper, sheets and a duvet. Usually a single.
- A private bedroom
- A separate room at the back with a door and a fixed bed, often a double. Also called a stateroom.
- A suite
- A bedroom with its own washroom, and on some aircraft a shower. Also called a principal or master suite.

Booking a private jet with a bedroom
Two aircraft of the same type can have different cabins, so the bedroom is something we check aircraft by aircraft.
- The layout Ask for the aircraft, not the type. A Global 7500 may have a bedroom at the back or a fourth lounge. We send the floor plan and photographs of the aircraft we propose, so you see the bed before you book.
- Take-off and landing In a seat, unless the bed is certified. Everyone sits in a seat or berth approved for taxi, take-off and landing, belt fastened. The crew make up the bed once the aircraft is in the cruise.
- Bedding Made up by the crew. Sheets, a duvet and pillows on long flights. Tell us about allergies, firmness or your own linen and we pass it on.
- The crew Rested on the longest flights. Flights of more than about twelve hours usually carry a third pilot. Some aircraft, the Global 7500 among them, have a crew rest of its own, so the passengers keep every bed.
- The price Set by the aircraft class. Indicatively $12,000 to $16,000 an hour for an ultra-long-range jet and $18,000 to $28,000 for a VIP airliner. Bank transfer in any major currency; crypto also accepted.
A bed for the night flight, confirmed before you book
Send us the journey and how many need to sleep. We find aircraft with the bedroom you want near your departure and send priced options with floor plans, usually the same day.
Frequently asked questions
Do private jets have bedrooms?
Some do. A private bedroom with a door needs a long, wide cabin, so it is found on the largest business jets and on VIP airliners. Of the aircraft we charter, the Falcon 8X, Global 6000, Global 6500, Global 7500 and G700 can have one, depending on how each aircraft is fitted out. On the Lineage 1000, BBJ MAX 7, BBJ 787-8 and ACJ350 a bedroom is part of the usual layout.
Do private jets have beds?
Most jets from the super-midsize class up have somewhere to sleep flat, even without a bedroom. Club seats recline and pair up into a bed, and a three-seat divan makes up as a single bed. The Challenger 350 sleeps about 3; the Global 7500 and G700 sleep up to 8. Light and midsize jets have no flat beds.
What is the smallest private jet with a bedroom?
Of the aircraft we charter, the Dassault Falcon 8X, an ultra-long-range jet with a cabin about 43 ft long. Some are fitted with an aft room that closes off as a bedroom, and some with a shower. Most are not, so we confirm the layout of the actual aircraft before you book.
Can you shower on a private jet?
On a few. A shower is offered on the Falcon 8X, Global 6000, Global 6500, Global 7500 and G700 and on VIP airliners such as the ACJ319neo and Lineage 1000, but only some aircraft of each type have one fitted. Water on board is limited, so showers are short. Ask for one when you enquire and we only propose aircraft that have it.
How much does a private jet with a bedroom cost?
Bedrooms come with the largest cabins, so the price is that of the aircraft class. Indicative rates are $12,000 to $16,000 an hour for an ultra-long-range jet such as the Global 7500 or G700, and $18,000 to $28,000 for a VIP airliner. Positioning, handling, parking and taxes are quoted on top.
Can you stay in bed for take-off and landing?
Only if the bed is certified for it. For taxi, take-off and landing everyone has to be in a seat or a berth approved for those phases, with the belt fastened. Some beds and divans are approved and have belts; many are not, and then you sit in a seat until the crew say otherwise. The crew make up the bed once the aircraft is in the cruise.
Is the bedding provided?
Yes. On a long flight the crew make up the beds with sheets, a duvet or blanket and pillows, and usually offer sleepwear and amenity kits. Tell us about allergies, a firmer pillow or your own linen when you book and we pass it to the operator.
When is a bed worth it?
On overnight flights and anything over about five hours. Of the long routes below, New York to London takes about 6h 45m in the quickest jet with a bedroom and Miami to Dubai about 15h. For shorter flights a divan or flat seats in a heavy jet do the job for less.
