The ski season's shuttle

London to Geneva is a 470-mile hop that every cabin class flies in around an hour and a half. It is the busiest winter route out of London by some distance, because Geneva is the gateway to Verbier, Megève, Chamonix and Courchevel, all within two hours of the airport by car or twenty minutes by helicopter.

London City makes the route: fifteen minutes from the Square Mile, and a light or midsize jet that can use its steep approach is airborne within minutes of your arrival. Farnborough, Luton and Biggin Hill serve the rest of the capital and the larger cabins.

In winter, Sion and Chambéry bring the resorts closer still. We book the onward car or helicopter with the aircraft, so the transfer is waiting on the Swiss or the French side as required.

Farnborough for the west, Luton for the north and late departures, Biggin Hill for the City, Stansted for the largest cabins.

What the flight costs

Prices below are indicative one-way figures for the whole aircraft, not per seat. They cover the flight, crew and fuel; Geneva's handling and any overnight parking are quoted separately.

A same-day return, or a weekend with the aircraft parked in Geneva, is usually priced well below two one-way flights. Winter Saturdays are slot-controlled, so we confirm the slot with the price.

Aircraft that suit a ninety-minute flight

A light or midsize cabin is the sensible choice for ninety minutes, and both can use London City. Larger parties, or a ski trip with a lot of luggage, move up to a super-midsize or heavy cabin from Farnborough or Luton. In winter we often propose Sion or Chambéry instead of Geneva when the resort makes it quicker.

When Geneva fills up

Geneva's peaks are the ski season and the watch fair, when its Saturday slots are allocated weeks ahead.

  1. December to January Christmas and New Year in the Alps The busiest fortnight of the year; Saturday slots are allocated in October.
  2. February Half-term and the school holidays Four weekends of full ramps at Geneva, Sion and Chambéry.
  3. Easter The end of the season The last big ski weekend; a shorter peak than February.
  4. April Watches and Wonders The watch industry's week in Geneva; parking fills with corporate aircraft.
  5. July Montreux Jazz Festival Two weeks of evening arrivals from across Europe.

Geneva to London

The return leaves from Geneva, Sion or Chambéry and lands at whichever London airport suits you; the smaller cabins can go straight into London City until it closes for the evening. Flight time is the same ninety minutes.

Geneva closes at 10 pm and winter Saturdays are slot-controlled, so a Sunday-evening return is the easy one and a Saturday return needs booking early. In the Christmas fortnight and February half-term, Geneva's slots and parking are the scarce resources, and we secure the return when we book the outbound.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet from London to Geneva cost?

Indicative one-way prices for the whole aircraft start at about €10,000 in a light jet; about €12,000 in a midsize jet; about €16,000 in a super-midsize jet; about €22,000 in a heavy jet. Repositioning, overnight parking and handling are quoted separately once we know your dates, and a return with the aircraft waiting is usually priced well below two one-way flights.

How long is the flight?

About 1 hour 30 flight time, depending on the aircraft, the winds and the airports at each end. Every cabin class listed flies it without a stop.

Which airports can I use?

From London: Farnborough, London Luton, Biggin Hill and London City. Into Geneva: Geneva Cointrin, Sion and Chambéry. Each is described above with its drive time and the operators that handle private flights there.

How do immigration and customs work on arrival?

Swiss border control and customs are cleared inside the private terminal, on either the Swiss or the French side depending on your onward destination. Most nationalities enter visa-free or with a Schengen visa.

Can my dog travel with me?

Pets travel in the cabin. Entering Switzerland, a dog or cat needs a microchip, rabies vaccination and an EU pet passport or health certificate; we arrange it with the handler.

Can I pay for the charter with crypto?

Yes. Bank transfer in any major currency; crypto also accepted. Tell us your preferred coin and we confirm the network and payment instructions with the contract.

Do you arrange the car at each end?

Yes. We coordinate chauffeured cars on both ends, so a car meets you at the aircraft in Geneva and the driver knows the airport's private terminal.

Where would you like to fly?

Tell us what you have in mind. Our team will take care of the charter arrangements and discuss crypto payment if you prefer.
