Nice Côte d'Azur is the second-busiest business airport in France and the airport for the whole Riviera: twenty minutes from the Promenade des Anglais, forty by car to Monaco and Cannes, seven minutes to Monaco by the helicopters that shuttle from the private terminal all day. Cannes-Mandelieu takes light and midsize jets to within fifteen minutes of the Croisette and is the quickest way to Saint-Tropez by helicopter. Summer slots at Nice are allocated weeks ahead and both airports close overnight, so we book the slot and the helicopter with the flight.

From anywhere in Europe, usually yes outside the summer peaks: a light jet from Paris, Geneva, London or Milan can often depart within a few hours. In May and on summer weekends the slot at Nice is the constraint rather than the aircraft. From New York or Dubai, twenty-four hours is the realistic minimum because of crew duty times.

On those dates we book the slot with the flight and hold Cannes-Mandelieu as the fallback for the smaller cabins.
