The purist's Submariner, and the one people regret not buying.
The 124060 is the no-date Submariner as Rolex redrew it in 2020: 41 mm rather than 40, with slimmer lugs and a slightly narrower bracelet than the reference it replaced, on calibre 3230 with about 70 hours of reserve.
Losing the date loses the Cyclops with it, which is the actual argument. The crystal is flat and unbroken, the dial is symmetrical, and the watch reads as a tool rather than a dress watch pretending to be one. It is the version most collectors end up preferring and the version fewer people buy first.

What is the difference between the 124060 and the 114060?
The 114060 is 40 mm with broader lugs, on calibre 3130 with about 48 hours of reserve. The 124060 replaced it in 2020 at 41 mm with slimmer lugs, on calibre 3230 with about 70 hours.
Does the no-date version cost less?
At retail it is the cheaper of the two. On the secondary market the gap narrows and sometimes closes, because it is made in smaller numbers and has a following of its own.
Is the bracelet adjustable without tools?
Yes. The Glidelock extension in the clasp adjusts in 2 mm steps across roughly 20 mm, which is enough to go over a wetsuit cuff or to allow for a warm day.
How long does it take to source one?
