The only Submariner Rolex ever made with a green dial.
The 116610LV ran from 2010 to 2020 and is the only Submariner to pair a green Cerachrom bezel with a green sunburst dial. Rolex had used a green bezel before, on the 50th-anniversary 16610LV, but that watch had a black dial. Green on green was this reference alone, and when it was discontinued in 2020 it was replaced by the black-dial 126610LV, which the trade promptly named the Starbucks.
It is the 40 mm Maxi case with the broad lugs and crown guards, on calibre 3135 — the long-running Submariner movement, with about 48 hours of reserve rather than the 70 of the current generation. That is the practical trade-off: a thicker, more substantial watch with less running time off the wrist.
Because it is discontinued, this is a secondary-market search from the outset, and condition is doing most of the work. The green dial shows swirls and marks more readily than a black one, and it is worth being specific with us about how tolerant you are.

What is the difference between the Hulk and the Starbucks?
The Hulk, 116610LV, has a green dial and a green bezel and was made from 2010 to 2020. The Starbucks, 126610LV, replaced it with a black dial and the same green bezel, in the newer 41 mm case on calibre 3235.
Is the 116610LV still made?
No. It was discontinued in 2020 and has only been available on the secondary market since. It is the one Submariner where discontinuation clearly increased what it sells for.
What should I check on a green dial?
Swirl marks and uneven lacquer, which show more on green than on black, and whether the dial and hands are original. We photograph the dial under angled light for exactly this reason.
How long does it take to source one?
