How much does a private jet charter cost?
A charter is priced by the aircraft, not the seat: an hourly rate for the cabin class multiplied by the flying time, plus positioning if the aircraft is not already where you are, plus the landing and handling at each airport. On our routes, that runs from $5,500 one way for a light jet from New York to Boston to six figures for an ultra-long-range jet to Dubai or Tokyo.
Every quote is the whole trip in one figure, confirmed in writing, with nothing added later that we have not told you about. A return with the aircraft waiting costs well below two one-way flights, and for frequent flyers a series of trips can be quoted together.

Send us the route, dates and party; we search operators at both ends of the route, come back with two or three priced aircraft, and once you choose one we send a contract, usually within the hour. After payment the flight is confirmed and we arrange the catering, the cars and anything else around it.
How much does it cost to charter a private jet?
It depends on the aircraft, the flight time and where the aircraft starts its day. Indicatively, a light jet costs $3,500 to $5,500 an hour and an ultra-long-range jet $12,000 to $16,000. How far in advance do I need to book?
A short domestic flight can usually be arranged the same day and a transatlantic flight within twenty-four hours. A week or two of notice keeps the choice of aircraft open, and on peak dates such as Christmas, the Monaco Grand Prix or Art Basel it is worth booking as soon as the dates are fixed.
Can I book a one-way flight?
Yes. A one-way charter is priced on its own; on the busiest routes, where aircraft are based at both ends, it is close to the hourly rate multiplied by the flight time. A return with the aircraft waiting for you is usually cheaper than two one-way flights.
Which airports can I fly from?
Almost any airport with a suitable runway, including the business airports close to the cities: Teterboro and Westchester for New York, Farnborough and Biggin Hill for London, Le Bourget for Paris, Van Nuys for Los Angeles. You use the private terminal, and on international flights customs and immigration are cleared there.
How many passengers can a private jet carry?
A light jet seats six or seven, a midsize seven or eight, a super-midsize eight or nine, a heavy jet ten to fourteen and an ultra-long-range jet thirteen to sixteen. VIP airliners such as the Boeing Business Jet carry from about nineteen to more than fifty.
Can I bring my pet?
Usually, yes, in the cabin with you. Tell us when you enquire: the operator has to agree, and an international flight needs the destination country's paperwork for the animal, which we check before the quote.
